i have returned from Disneyland! expect a rather anemic report sometime soon.
my past two trips to the Tiki Room i was lucky enough to see/hear Maynard do his spiel. after the first time, i was like hmm this CM seems familiar but why? then i realized it was Maynard! for those who don't know(not that i'd expect you to know), Maynard is a CM who loves his job and is very animated. he's worked many jobs around DL, from Haunted Mansion to Jungle Cruise to crowd control for parades. i had never run into him until recently when i started going to the Tiki Room. his spiel really adds to the whole Tiki Room experience, except for the fact that we don't get to yell out "WAKE UP JOSE". that's really my only complaint.

As I recall, the group who was in the room was small, but as you can hear quite vocal. I think they may have just come over from Electronica (ie Drinktronica) and were really into Maynard's performance.
